Frequently asked questions about eyelash extensions

1. What kind of eyelash extensions do you use?

We use Xtreme Lash Canada products: individual Synthetic, Silk, Mink or Human hair lash. They are attached to your Eyelash individually not to the skin. Each synthetic lash is attached to an eyelash. It is a very enhancing beauty service and you DO NOT need to use any Mascara while wearing these Xtreme Lash Canada. It is a very careful and intense service which requires skill and precision. Once applied, these lashes are so natural looking it is difficult to tell even up close that you have extensions on. Size availability ranges from short to long. Lashes are available in Black, Brown and other Festive colors such as purple are available and they are virtually weightless.

2. How long do these  eyelashes last?

It is totally an individual process. The Lashes will stay on your lashes for the remaining lash life when applied correctly, We lose one Eyelash almost everyday. We also grow a new lash to replace the one that fell out. These Lashes can stay on up to 2 full Months with proper care and bi-weekly maintenance. However, factors such as eyelash characteristic, lifestyle and general after care will affect how long the lashes last.

3. How much does it cost?
A full set of XtremeLashCanada eyelashes is recommended at the initial visit, the cost for all our Eyelash applications starts at $80 per full set and up. Removal of the Lashes cost $30 and takes about 30minutes. If you are putting on a new set there will be a $15 charge for removal.

5. Do the False Eyelashes damage my natural Eyelashes?
No, not at all! The Lash adhesive is formulated to create a polypeptide bond, specifically for human lashes. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. The XtremeLashCanada lashes will adhere to your natural lashes softly and comfortably while not damaging your natural lashes or causing the natural lashes to fall out, you must not try to remove the XtremeLashCanada lashes on your own

6. Can I wear mascara with my Eyelashes?
These Lashes naturally darken your lashes, your lashes will look vivid and mascara is NOT necessary. Rubbing directly on the lashes, or using mascara remover will weaken the bonding. This will also twist the extensions or make them fall out. We strongly recommend that you avoid wearing mascara, curling and rubbing your Eyes or pulling the extensions.

7. Can the Eyelashes be removed?
Yes, at any time for any reason. They can be easily removed. Please do not attempt to remove any lashes on your own, seek professional help from your technician. WE WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT YOU MAY CAUSE BY TRYING TO REMOVE THE Xtreme Lash Canada EYELASH EXTENSIONS ON YOUR OWN.

8. Before Your Appointment
What you should do before your Eyelash Extension appointment:
Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser. Do not use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not put on any mascara. We don't want to spend time cleaning your lashes. We'd rather spend time working on perfecting your lashes. If you are a contact lens wearer, please remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment, or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive at your appointment. Plan to set aside 1 to 2 hours for your appointment. Most of our clients fall asleep during the procedure. They are always amazed when they wake up with gorgeous looking lashes.

9. After-Care
Following these important after-care instructions will aid in extending the life of your lash extensions. The first 48 hours following your application are most crucial. Care must be taken not to rub your eyes, pull your lashes, or scratch. Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing oils can loosen the bond of the lash extensions. Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area. In the shower, you should avoid direct water spray on your extensions for 48 hours after your lash extension application, do not allow water to contact lashes, use a steam bath, swim, or wash your face with hot water.

1. Do not perm or Tint lashes before or after lash extension application.
2. Do not use a regular Eyelash curler. It may break both the lash extension and your natural lashes.
3. Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face. Clean around the Eyes with a wash cloth.
4. Do not pull your lash extensions, as it will take out your own lash as well

10. What happens if a lash should loosen or become dislodged?
Do not pull on the lash. Please contact Yvette or Ruby to make an appointment to have them removed or replaced, to avoid damage to your natural lash. As your natural lashes fall out due to the growth cycle, you will need refills when new lashes grow. At first you may find you need a refill every 2 weeks. As your natural lashes become accustomed to the extensions and with a little practice maintaining the lashes, the time between refills can be extended to 3 weeks

Eye lash extensions can be made up of different types of material. The more expensive and natural looking extensions are made up of real human hair.

The cheaper lashes made up of synthetic products. There are different types of synthetic lashes and as the saying goes, ‘you get what you pay for’. Look for a good quality product not the cheapest one you can find.
